International Science Grid Weekly features work done by UB engineers on CCR resources

Posted on Oct 29th 2008

“A fine-grained approach to ‘cool’ simulations” describes research done by UB faculty to develop a new technique so “scientists can simulate the stages of cooling to determine how the gas behaves within given temperature ranges. The simulations yield parameters to plug into the equation relating pressure, temperature and density. Engineers can then use these results to determine how to design gas-processing equipment.” Andrew Schultz of the UB Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering presented his work done on CCR resources via the OSG (open science grid) at the recent Fermilab Grid Fest.
